Yocolab Refunds and Cancellation Policy

Definitions of Basic Refunds and Cancellation

We understand that, sometimes, you may not be able to join your scheduled class due to unforeseen circumstances.
We have set of policies for our students and instructors as mentioned below.

FOR STUDENTS :

  • Students are eligible for a refund for Trial classes only. A cancellation fee of 6% will be deducted from the original amount. This is due to the cost incurred by the Yocolab platform for processing these transactions via the payment gateway. The remaining amount will be refunded.

  • For example, if student purchases a trial class for $10, and requests for a refund of the class, cancellation fee of 6% will be charged on $10 and student will be refunded $9.40.

  • After the trial class, student will purchase hours against each instructor. This is non-refundable and the money will be placed in your Yocolab wallet. In case where the student changes their mind and wants to use the study hours with some other instructor, student can transfer their existing hours to another instructor. Please take note that the transfer of hours is only applicable to instructor who has the same country as the primary instructor. For e.g. if student purchases hours from Instructor A who is located in Singapore, the student can transfer their hours to any other instructor who is located in Singapore. The total number of hours will automatically be adjusted based on the current instructor hourly rate against the new instructor hourly rate. Below is an example of hours conversion.

FOR INSTRUCTORS :

Currently, Yocolab does not allow their instructors to cancel any classes. This is because the instructors have the liberty to update their schedule and provide their availability. In case the instructor is not available on their available time slots, the instructor can go to their calendars and update their availability.


In a case, where instructor hours are already booked, the instructor is mandated to conduct the class. In the worst case, instructors can reach out to their students via the “Messages” chat app on Yocolab. Instructor can request students to cancel their existing class and reschedule to some other date and time which is suitable for the student. Please take note that Instructors cannot reschedule their Trial classes once it has been booked by a student.
